Woman shoots husband, turns herself in | Crime
VICKSBURG, MS (WLBT) - The Vicksburg Police Department responded to two domestic disturbances Saturday morning.
Just before 9:30 a.m., VPD received a report of a shooting at 141 Morning View Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly discovered Galbrial Floyd, 30, had shot her husband and left the scene, according to a news release.
Larry Floyd, who had a gunshot wound to the thigh, was on the way to the hospital in a privately owned vehicle.
On the way to the hospital, the vehicle Larry was traveling in had mechanical problems. Vicksburg paramedics picked Floyd up on Highway 61 North for transport to the hospital.
According to the news release, Galbrial turned herself in at the police department about an hour after the incident. She was arrested and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault.
A few hours earlier in the 500 block of Farmer Street, VPD responded to another domestic dispute.
Police reportedly found Robert Graves Jr., 19, at the scene armed with a stolen Smith and Wesson handgun and in possession of crack cocaine.
The weapon was reported stolen Monday from a vehicle parked at a Vicksburg hotel. Graves was arrested and transported to the Warren County Jail.
