College student from Vicksburg murdered | Crime
HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The death of University of Southern Mississippi student found dead on Thursday inside a Point O' Woods apartment is now being investigated as a homicide.
Originally assumed to be a suicide, late Friday, Hattiesburg Police released a statement ruling the death of Lance Logan, 23, as a homicide.
Logan performed stand-up comedy in Hattiesburg and was expected to appear at 9 p.m. Thursday at an event in town. Sources say he checked in a few hours before.
According to USM's website Logan was a senior international business major from Vicksburg. He served as director of campus development for the SGA and later as vice president of the organization in 2010. Logan served two years in the United States Army.
