A former Vicksburg Police Officer and Warren County deputy has been indicted on a sexual battery charge.

According to the indictment David Dean McLeod also known as Bo McLeod is charged with sexually assaulting a woman who is mentally defective, mentally incapacitated or physically helpless person. The indictment dates the assault on or about January 25, 2012.

We have been told McLeod resigned from his job as a Vicksburg police officer before the alleged assault, to take a job with the North Central Mississippi Narcotics Task Force. He was indicted August 2, by a Warren County grand jury.
